SUCCESS STORIES & PRAISE
When I first signed up for Cheryl's program, I didn't know what I know now in order to lose weight. Before I did the program, I was inadvertently doing things that were sabotaging my ability to shed pounds. After doing the program, I better understand how to eat, how to exercise, and in what order to combine my workouts and nutrition so that my choices lead to results. Cheryl's program holistically addresses the psychological and physiological changes needed to maintain weight loss, build muscle and reshape the body. What I also didn't expect was the joy I get from working out and, going forward, considering athletic potential that I had previously given up on.
When Army officer and busy mom of 4 boys Tilisha reached out to me, she was struggling with poor eating habits and a "sugar addiction". Her goals were to be able to max out on her annual fitness test and develop an athletic routine she could turn into a lifestyle, both of which she accomplished with power and grace. Her hubby Ken and their sons showed up at her first competition to cheer her on, where he told me how much of a positive impact her new healthy, active lifestyle had on their family. A few months later, Ken began his own transformation and shared the stage with his wife at her first pro show, feeling "10 years younger" and being 35 lbs. lighter!
I started Cheryl's program with a lot of excitement about improving my health and body and a lot of apprehension about whether or not I could really do it. I have to say, I've been so pleased with my progress and the program. The nutrition and exercise routines are doable and effective. Cheryl has been with me every step of the way with encouragement, celebration, and a kick in the rear when I need it. My body is getting leaner and stronger every day. I definitely recommend her programs if you're ready to make a positive change.
Many times Cheryl demanded rest and even breaks from the gym/clean food. One should never lose their mind over a goal. Did I? Indeed, several times. But you must enjoy the journey. That's when your coach comes in and tells you "you have to switch gears and focus on what really matters." After I resumed my second competition there was one thing I was sure: I chose health over money, I chose happiness over appearances, and many other things happened. But I can assure you of one thing: we all need a coach or a mentor in life. In this case I chose Cheryl as my coach to accomplish this goal, but to my surprise she was not only a "body building coach"; she served as a coach for many other matters and I'm truly happy with the outcome of choosing her to be my coach!
Cheryl was not just a coach, but an inspiration during this process of trusting myself and trusting the process if you are doing what you are supposed to do. Cheryl is a coach who focuses on inner peace and health; her goal is to push you to be the best of you without sacrificing your health. Both Jenn and Santi sought to work on their fitness after their transitions to motherhood. First-time mom Jenn found success blending a combination of consistent strength training workouts and proper nutrition while still in the post-natal breastfeeding stage. Santi worked on finding balance between simultaneously working from home and parenting her toddler while still finding time to prioritize herself and her health. Helping busy moms reclaim their bodies for themselves means problem-solving around competing priorities, tight schedules, and often overwhelming pressure, but it can be done with the right support and guidance.
I have lost weight in the past and I have always been good at dieting. The weight always came back because I never learned how to eat to sustain the weight loss. I feel like it is different this time. The mental work has helped a lot and the little things about how food is fuel and seeing it as that and adjusting your paradigms for what a meal should look like in terms of macros. I think I can walk into any restaurant and find something clean to eat. I know you may get these emails frequently from clients but I wanted to let you know again how much I appreciate everything you have taught me through this process. Your information and support has truly been transformative. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
"Working with Cheryl Davis was the best thing I could have done for my health. I initially contacted Cheryl to create a nutrition and fitness plan to lose weight. Upon hearing that I had multiple sclerosis, she took it upon herself to research the disease and any special accommodations I may need before she accepted me as a client. All of my meal and training plans have been created with consideration for my limitations and my strengths. Recently, I decided to embrace a plant-based lifestyle and Cheryl provided awesome coaching and meal plan adjustments that were just what I needed.
The greatest feeling was during my most recent visit to the neurologist. I passed all the function and mobility tests and the doctor was impressed with my energy which was NOT due to any drugs - just great nutrition. I was moved to tears because just prior to working with Cheryl, I was prescribed a walker due to impaired balance and extreme fatigue.
"Getting to the stage in May 2014 was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I thank my coach, Cheryl, as she was a key person for me to be able to accomplish this new goal. Cheryl was not just a coach, but an inspiration during this process of trusting myself and trusting the process if you are doing what you are supposed to do. Cheryl is a coach who focuses on inner peace and health; her goal is to push you to be the best of you without sacrificing your health.
